Job summary

Blue Shield of California—Your Role: The Senior Director, Sales Executive for IFP will lead the end-to-end sales strategy for Individual & Family Plan channels, driving membership growth across direct and broker channels in California.

You will oversee a sales team including inside sales and seasonal support, reporting to the Growth & State Policy Strategy Leader, with footprint mainly in Sacramento and Woodland Hills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of relevant experience including 6 years of management experience.
• IFP or Medicare health insurance sales experience.
• Active Health and Life license (CA) with the California Department of Insurance.
• Existing relationships with key distribution channels or partners in the CA IFP or Medicare market.
• Familiarity with the ACA and exchange marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead a direct team of sales professionals focusing on broker/channel and inside sales; manage end-to-end leadership of the IFP direct and channel sales teams.
• Accelerate membership growth in the market and drive related strategies and processes.
• Coordinate seasonal/contracted support during open enrollment timeframes.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster a high-performing team and a consumer-first experience.
