Job summary

BioMarin seeks a Health Economics & Outcomes Research Senior Director to lead asset-specific payer evidence strategies, shaping PRO endpoints, health utilities, and HTA submissions across global programs.

You will partner with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and patient advocacy groups to align on payer requirements and integrate evidence planning into early development.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Pharma with 7+ years in HEOR roles
• Deep understanding of market access, value and global HTA frameworks
• Experience developing and executing patient-relevant outcomes strategies
• Experience supporting HTA submissions, value dossiers, and briefing books
• Leadership experience with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Lead payer evidence strategies for early-stage assets
• Collaborate with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs and Regulatory teams
• Drive understanding of payer and HTA requirements for PRO endpoints
• Shape patient-relevant outcomes across clinical development plans
• Lead JCA strategy development and assess access implications
• Coordinate external partnerships for PRO development and valuation studies
• Prepare briefing materials for HTA agencies (EU HTA JSC, NICE, CADTH)
• Support regulatory interactions and patient advocacy organizations
• Analyze trial data to generate insights for HTA and payer value
• Shape scientific communication plans and publish in journals
• Identify risks and gaps in evidence for business development opportunities
• Manage multiple complex initiatives and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
