BioMarin is seeking an experienced Health Economics & Outcomes Research Associate Director to drive payer evidence strategies across early-stage assets in rare diseases. You will shape patient-relevant outcomes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with HTA and regulatory needs.

The role requires 7+ years in pharma, an advanced degree in health economics or related field, and a track record in PRO development, HTA submissions, and value demonstrations within PAVE.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Pharma Industry experience with 4+ years in HEOR
• Advanced degree in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, health services research, pharmacy, or related field
• Strong understanding of market access, value and global HTA frameworks
• Experience supporting patient‑relevant outcomes strategies to meet payer and HTA requirements
• Experience contributing to evaluation, development, and validation of PRO measures for regulatory, payer, and HTA decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead payer evidence strategies aligned with brand and Value & Access priorities for early‑stage assets
• Collaborate with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development & Regulatory Affairs & Patient Advocacy
• Contribute to payer and HTA requirements understanding related to PRO endpoints and health utility measurement
• Ensure payer evidence requirements are included in clinical development plans for patient access
• Lead cross‑functional, asset‑specific patient‑relevant outcomes strategies
• Support patient‑relevant endpoint planning and trial implementation
• Lead early Joint Clinical Assessment strategy development across markets
• Assess payer evidence gaps to inform future evidence planning
• Manage external partners in PRO development and validation
• Support HTA submissions, briefing books, and evidence packages
