Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, CA seeks a Senior Director, Global Privacy & Data Counsel to lead the privacy program across the company’s data-driven technology and entertainment platforms. You will shape policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with global teams to advance data privacy stewardship.

The role requires deep GDPR/CCPA expertise, 20+ years of legal experience with 10+ in senior privacy leadership, and a track record building incident response and PIAs.

Qualifications

Juris doctor degree; advanced degree a plus.
20+ years legal experience; 10+ years in senior privacy leadership.
Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and regional frameworks.
Experience in incident response and privacy impact assessments (PIAs).

Responsibilities

Lead the Privacy Team across legal, operations and compliance.
Design, implement, and evolve a robust privacy program aligned with laws.
Ensure privacy by design in product development and business processes.
Oversee PIAs and incident response planning for privacy incidents.
Provide regular reports to executive leadership and the board.
