Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Senior Director of Legal - Global Privacy & Data Counsel to lead the global privacy program from San Mateo or London in a hybrid setting. You will shape and advance privacy policy, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive privacy governance across the organization.

You will build and lead a cross-functional team, implement privacy-by-design, manage PIAs and incidents, and report to executives and regulators, partnering with CISO and ESG teams.

Qualifikationen

• Juris doctor degree; bachelor or advanced degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 20+ years of legal experience and 10+ years in senior privacy leadership within a data-driven tech company.
• Deep knowledge of global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and regional frameworks; experience with privacy incidents.
• Experience designing and implementing comprehensive privacy programs aligned with laws and data usage needs.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Privacy Team across legal, operations and compliance, shaping the privacy function.
• Design, implement and evolve a proactive privacy program aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with GDPR, CCPA and regional requirements; stay current on laws.
• Advocate privacy-by-design in product development, working with product teams and ESG.
• Create and review privacy policies, notices and consent forms; disseminate policies organization-wide.
• Conduct privacy training for employees and management; promote a privacy-aware culture.
• Manage vendor privacy practices and data processing agreements; oversee PIAs.
• Develop incident response plans; coordinate with CISO and incident teams.
• Provide regular reporting to executives and the board; act as contact for regulators and customers.
