Job summary

Cvent is seeking a seasoned Events leader to oversee the North America Event Design team from our Tysons HQ, driving end-to-end planning for 500+ events annually. You will partner with senior leadership to shape a strategic events program, negotiate vendor agreements, and manage cross-functional initiatives across regions.

The role requires 12+ years in event planning/marketing, 3+ years of leadership experience, and a strong grasp of budgets, contracts, and analytics.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in event planning, marketing, or related field.
• 3+ years in leadership coaching and career development.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must be located near Tyson's Corner, VA with 2 days/week in-office and live events prep.
• Experience managing large contracts, budgets, and financial analysis.
• Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work across macro and micro levels in a fast-paced team.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and international resources.
• Proficiency with Cvent and related event tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Director of Events on strategic corporate and experiential events.
• Lead North America Event Design team at HQ (Tyson's) handling 500+ events annually.
• End-to-end planning and execution of events of varying size and scope.
• Coordinate with senior management on HQ and company-wide initiatives.
• Produce timely reports, updates, and data for internal teams.
• Assist in projections, roadmapping, audience goals, and ROI analysis.
• Negotiate venue and vendor agreements to achieve cost savings.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and develop new partnerships.
