Job summary

Cvent, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Events to lead North America Event Design from our Tysons HQ. You will drive end-to-end event strategy, oversee a 500+ annual event portfolio, and partner with senior leadership to align with corporate objectives.

You will manage a cross-functional team, coordinate with global regions and marketing teams, and own vendor negotiations, budgets, and ROI analysis to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of event planning, marketing, or a related field.
• 3+ years of leadership experience coaching and career development
• Bachelor's degree required
• Must be located near Tyson's Corner, Virginia and commute 2 days per week
• Experience managing large and complex contracts, budgets, and financial analysis
• Strong project management and communication in a fluid, cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Team's Senior Director of Events to execute a strategic corporate event & experiential events strategy
• Manage the North America Event Design team based in the HQ (Tyson's office) responsible for producing 500+ events annually
• End-to-End planning and execution of events of varying size, scope & scale
• Work directly with senior management to collaborate on HQ and company-wide initiatives
• Coordinate with teams across regions and product-focused marketing organization to ensure timely delivery of reports and data to internal teams
• Assist in event projections and event road mapping, understanding audience objectives, budgets, and ROI
• Collaborate on large-scale strategic projects and timelines related to major company initiatives
• Source, negotiate, evaluate, and execute venue & vendor agreements with savings targets
• Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and identify new business relationships
