Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas seeks a Sr. Director of Federal & MCO Revenue Cycle Management to oversee the entire revenue cycle, including eligibility, authorizations, contracting, credentialing, billing, collections and denials.

You will train staff, coordinate with regional leaders, and ensure payer compliance to maximize revenue performance. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role requires directing monthly and yearly financial reporting, audits, and integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience with Medicaid payments or revenue cycle.
• Minimum three years in staff management and goal setting.
• Preferred certification: CPC, CPB or CCS.

Responsibilities

• Supervises billing and credentialing staff to keep processes current.
• Ensures EHR is configured and operates per payer regulations.
• Verifies insurance in the EHR using 270/271 eligibility files.
• Ensures authorizations are current and requests units as needed.
• Oversees pre-billing reports and monthly/yearly reconciliations.
• Manages Medicaid billing and audits; addresses denials and issues.
• Provides financial reports for revenue recognition and AR reconciliations.
• Supports Compliance and licensure procedures with program staff.
