Job summary

Beast Industries in New York, NY seeks a Director of External Reporting & Technical Accounting to own external financial statements, disclosures, and technical accounting positions across the group. You will lead an in-house team, manage co-sourced work, and interface with external auditors.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in external reporting, CPA, deep US GAAP knowledge, and strong written communication.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive experience with external reporting and technical accounting.
CPA designation and deep US GAAP knowledge required.
Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Own the preparation of external financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
Own technical accounting positions across the group (ASC 606/718, EPS, ASC 805).
Draft and maintain complex technical memos for non-standard transactions.
Maintain external reporting calendar and disclosure controls.
Lead external co-source workstreams and transition capabilities in-house.
Serve as technical liaison with external auditors and support audit committee reporting.
Mentor and develop the technical accounting and external reporting team.
Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and equity administration on inputs and disclosures.
