Spring Health in New York is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead GAAP financial statements, regulatory filings, and technical accounting across the organization. This hybrid role in NYC requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and external auditors.

You will oversee consolidation, apply new accounting standards, and guide complex transactions including M&A, revenue recognition, and equity compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA licensure required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Experience with NetSuite and Workiva; familiarity with Oracle apps a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of GAAP financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with Accounting leadership to consolidate results across Spring Health’s business units.
• Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards; provide guidance.
• Support complex transactions: M&A, new products, revenue recognition, equity compensation.
• Review contract terms with Sales to determine proper accounting treatment.
• Develop and enforce financial reporting and technical accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure state-specific reporting compliance and timely regulatory filings.
