Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Risk Management & Construction Risk to lead enterprise risk across the business and partner with executive leadership to shape the risk strategy for nationwide solar, storage, and substation projects.

This role oversees ERM, insurance programs, alternative risk financing, surety, claims, and contractual risk transfer, with full remote work and strategic interaction with Operations, Legal, Finance, and Safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required in a related field (risk management, finance, engineering, or business).
• MBA or advanced risk management degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, construction risk, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and reporting.
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on enterprise, operational, financial and contractual risk.
• Develop risk assessments, risk registers, and KRIs; create executive dashboards.
• Drive risk reviews in major initiatives, acquisitions, and expansion plans.
• Partner with Operations, Preconstruction, Safety, Finance, Legal, and HR to embed risk in decision-making.
• Oversee insurance programs (general liability, workers' comp, cyber, property, etc.).
• Lead alternative risk financing and captive strategy development; model TCOR and reserves.
• Manage surety program strategy, capacity, and bonding with brokers and underwriters.
• Oversee claims management, loss prevention, and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal on contract risk transfer, indemnities, and liability limits.
