Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Risk Management & Construction Risk to lead the Company’s risk strategy across ERM, insurance, and alternative risk financing for nationwide solar, storage, and substation projects. Remote work available with discussions during interview.

The role partners with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Safety to embed risk management into project decisions, contract risk transfer, and loss prevention across a growing infrastructure portfolio.

Qualifications

• Satisfies minimum: bachelor’s degree in relevant field; 15+ years in enterprise risk management, insurance, or related areas.
• MBA or advanced risk degree preferred; proven leadership of risk programs and teams.
• Experience with captive/self-insurance and large deductible programs is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously enhance the Enterprise Risk Management framework across the company.
• Advise executives and the Board on enterprise, operational, contractual, and cybersecurity risks.
• Develop KRIs, risk assessments, and executive dashboards for informed decisions.
• Oversee insurance programs including liability, property, cyber, and workers' comp.
• Manage alternative risk financing, captives, and risk financing strategy.
• Lead surety, claims, and loss prevention initiatives with cross-functional partners.
• Partner with Legal, Operations, and Finance to align risk with strategy.
