Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a strategic Head of Avionics & Control Products to lead the engineering vision, architecture, and roadmap for engine avionics across BE-3U, BE-4, BE-7, and future propulsion programs. You will guide cross-functional teams, set design-for-reliability standards, and partner with operations and supply chain to scale electronics across concurrent programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in avionics, embedded control systems, or high-reliability electronics.
• Experience leading multi-year technical programs with significant business impact.
• Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience shaping technical strategy around supplier ecosystems and external dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Own the Technical Vision & Strategy for Engine Avionics.
• Own and control the technical baseline for all engine avionics and control subsystems.
• Architect the long-term technical roadmap balancing performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
• Drive cross-program initiatives to serve multiple engines without compromising reliability or schedule.
• Lead a high-performing organization through mentorship and technical leadership.
