Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a dynamic Director of Avionics to lead avionics development and manufacturing across facilities. You will define strategies, drive manufacturing innovations, and lead a team responsible for test, check-out, fabrication, and assembly of electro/mechanical systems including power distribution and safety critical subsystems.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or manufacturing; MBA/MS a plus.
• 10+ years of leadership in manufacturing (launch vehicles, spacecraft, aerospace, or related).
• 7+ years managing budgets, projects, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for avionics at Blue Origin.
• Align avionics initiatives with company goals and customer needs.
• Oversee development of new avionics manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Increase production capabilities and efficiency of avionics manufacturing processes.
• Implement strategies for cycle time reduction to improve delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with program teams to develop and qualify manufacturing capabilities.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and successes.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing avionics team.
• Oversee delivery of new manufacturing capacity and capabilities.
