Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Director, Energy Markets to lead market strategy, forecasting, and commercial optimization for its energy platform. You will evaluate power markets, guide underwriting of energy solutions, manage environmental commodity positions, and develop strategies to optimize market exposure and portfolio value.

You will collaborate with origination, development, finance, legal, policy, execution, and asset management teams to advance clean energy growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, engineering, energy or environmental science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in wholesale electricity markets, energy trading, corporate procurement, or regulatory strategy.
• Deep familiarity with power pools, RTO/ISO structures, risk allocation, and commercial modeling.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced financial and market modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel.
• Strong leadership, executive communication and consensus-building abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead market intelligence, forecasting and revenue analyses for energy assets.
• Develop revenue forecasts for solar, energy storage, mobility, and power opportunities.
• Monitor trends affecting large-load customers to guide strategy.
• Provide market assumptions for underwriting energy projects.
• Lead hedging, trading and optimization for energy assets in wholesale markets.
• Coordinate market registrations and onboarding with internal teams.
