Job summary

Prologis seeks a Director of Energy Markets to lead market strategy, forecasting, and commercial optimization supporting the energy platform across the portfolio. You will evaluate wholesale/retail power markets, underwrite energy solutions, and manage environmental commodity positions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance clean energy growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in wholesale electricity markets, energy trading, or related strategy roles.
• Deep familiarity with power pools, RTO/ISO structures, risk allocation, and modeling.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Advanced financial and market modeling with Excel.
• Strong leadership, executive communication and consensus-building.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail, professionalism and integrity.
• Creative, curious mindset with drive to tackle new challenges.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead market strategy, forecasting, and commercial optimization for energy platform.
• Evaluate wholesale and retail power markets and develop energy solutions.
• Underwrite and develop energy projects and manage environmental commodity positions.
• Build relationships with internal teams and external market participants to translate insights into strategy.
• Lead hedging, trading, and optimization for energy assets in wholesale markets.
• Coordinate market registrations, qualifications, and onboarding activities.
• Develop forecasts for renewable energy certificates and other environmental commodities.
• Oversee energy pricing for retail supply and development opportunities.
