Job summary

Prologis is hiring a Director, Energy Markets to lead market strategy, forecasting, and commercial optimization for the energy platform. You will evaluate wholesale and retail power markets, guide underwriting of energy solutions, and manage environmental commodity positions to maximize portfolio value.

This role partners with origination, development, finance, legal, policy, execution, and asset management teams to advance clean energy growth. Reports to VP, Energy Solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years in wholesale electricity markets and energy trading.
• Deep familiarity with power pools, RTO/ISO structures, and risk modeling.
• Advanced financial and market modeling skills, including Excel.
• Strong leadership and executive communication abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• High attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity.
• Curiosity and adaptability for new challenges.
• Collaborative team player with a supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead market intelligence, forecasting, and revenue projections for energy solutions.
• Develop pricing, hedging, and risk management strategies for energy assets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align energy market insights with portfolio strategy.
• Structure commercial products and transactions to manage risk and return.
• Guide market registrations and onboarding activities for projects.
