Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a senior leader to identify business development opportunities and lead cross-functional teams for geographic expansion and agency development. The role oversees IT efforts related to agency compensation and drives training programs for internal staff and distribution partners.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in Commercial P&C insurance, strong leadership, and expertise in agency operations, marketing, and sales. A bachelor’s degree or MBA is preferred, CPCU is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• CPCU or other industry designation preferred
• 10+ years Commercial P&C insurance industry underwriting, Agency Management, Agency Operations, Marketing or field sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains strategic view of aggregators and partners, and communicates metrics across regions.
• Develops infrastructure to support aggregator relationships and opportunities.
• Leads a 3–5 year distribution strategy across small business, personal lines, and geographic expansion.
• Develops and executes agency compensation strategy, including incentive programs and PSA changes.
• Partners with marketing to plan agency engagement initiatives and drives DEI programs.
