Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services seeks a Developer Experience & AI Enablement Lead to own enterprise software development practices across Aurora, CO, Arlington, VA, or Huntsville, AL. You will shape secure SDLC, AI integration, and governance with cross-functional partners.

The role emphasizes roadmaps, standardization, and enabling teams to adopt enterprise processes and AI-enabled development capabilities while maintaining data protection and compliance.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, platform engineering, technical program management, developer productivity, software governance, or a related discipline.
• Experience coordinating complex, cross-functional technical initiatives across multiple teams, business units, or organizational boundaries.
• Practical understanding of software architecture, source-code repositories, code review, build systems, CI/CD, testing, release management, and developer workflows.
• Experience defining or implementing secure software development practices, including vulnerability management, dependency governance, secrets handling, SBOMs, security scanning, and evidence retention.
• Experience translating policies, standards, and risk requirements into practical processes, controls, workflows, implementation plans, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the enterprise software development operating model, including lifecycle processes, engineering standards, repository practices, CI/CD expectations, security controls, release practices, and documentation requirements.
• Assess software development practices across business units and develop a roadmap to improve consistency, maturity, developer experience, and risk management.
• Define and promote standardized golden-path workflows, repository blueprints, branch-management practices, CI/CD frameworks, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Coordinate implementation of secure development practices, including code review, SAST/DAST, dependency and vulnerability management, secrets handling, SBOMs, release assurance, and evidence retention.
• Lead the strategy for safely integrating generative AI assistants and agentic capabilities into the software development lifecycle.
