Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director within the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group. You will lead thought leadership, craft must-have insights, and shape research agendas for clients around data management, AI enablement, and strategic advice.

Expect in-person and virtual client engagements and Gartner conference presence. The role requires 12+ years of experience, executive presence, and strong research/writing credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
• Provide expert technical guidance on the selection, implementation, governance, and ongoing management of modern data management platforms
• Understand how data management platforms support AI and agentic capabilities, including RAG, vector databases, AI agents, and LLMs
• Proven expertise in designing and evaluating technical infrastructures integrating data management, AI, and cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged “must-have insights” content
• Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client's needs to accelerate action
• Develop in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframing to drive strategy
• Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing Insights positions across a team of analysts
• Provide high quality and timely content peer review
