Job summary

SCP Health is seeking a senior data leader to drive team leadership, data acquisition, and product management for clinical data assets across analytics, AI/ML, and operations. You will shape strategy, manage cross-functional delivery, and ensure data quality and compliance in a healthcare setting.

You will partner with clinical, IT, and vendor teams to standardize data practices, oversee data governance, and lead modernization using AI-enabled automation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data management/engineering or clinical informatics
• 5+ years in senior people leadership
• Experience managing large, distributed technical teams in healthcare or life sciences
• Deep expertise in HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC
• Knowledge of modern data engineering tools and platforms (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake)

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-disciplinary data team
• Define performance goals and succession plans
• Oversee data ingestion from EMRs and client facilities
• Negotiate and implement data exchange agreements (HL7, FHIR, EDI, APIs)
• Own end-to-end SLA management of clinical data feeds
• Define and own data product strategy and KBs (BRDs, user stories)
• Establish data product KPIs and drive improvements
• Lead architecture of data pipelines and modern data stack
• Establish enterprise data governance policies and stewardship
