Job summary

SCP Health seeks a senior leader to drive data strategy across acquisition, governance, and product management. You will mentor diverse data teams, establish performance goals, and ensure scalable, auditable clinical data pipelines with strong regulatory alignment.

The role requires deep expertise in HL7/FHIR standards, data governance, and cross-functional collaboration to enable analytics and AI/ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical Informatics, or related field.
• MS or MBA preferred for senior leadership emphasis.
• 15+ years in data management/engineering with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience managing large distributed technical teams (10+ reports).
• Deep expertise in clinical data standards and interoperability (HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC).
• Knowledge of modern data engineering tools and platforms (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake).
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data governance programs in regulated healthcare.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and 21 CFR Part 11 regulatory implications.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into data pipelines and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary data teams across acquisition, governance, product management, and analytics.
• Define performance goals, career paths, and succession planning for reports.
• Drive data acquisition, integration, and SLA management for clinical feeds.
• Own data product roadmap and ensure reusable, discoverable data assets.
• Standardize business analysis practices and translate needs into data requirements.
• Oversee architecture and modern data stack – cloud-native and scalable.
