Job summary

The Senior Director, Data and AI Engineering at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. will lead a strategic data and AI engineering program across R&D, translating scientific aims into scalable, compliant data foundations and Gen AI solutions.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team of data engineers and AI specialists, drive the architecture and governance of data ecosystems, and partner with IT, Clinical, and Operations to deliver impactful analytics and AI-enabled insights.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise across data engineering, Gen AI, and ML techniques.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for data, AI, and Gen AI in R&D.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable data and AI foundations.
• Oversee MLOps and AI governance, ensuring compliance and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Compliance, and business functions to enable AI initiatives.
• Build and mentor a high-performing data/AI engineering team.
