Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Director of Data Enablement and Reporting to lead data governance and analytics across R&D.

You will define the data strategy, implement governance, ensure AI readiness, and drive data-driven decision-making with collaboration across AI, data science, and IT teams. You will oversee data quality, metadata, catalogs, and lineage, delivering governed data products and reporting for clinical trials and Regulatory functions in a remote-friendly, full-time

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science).
• 8–10+ years in data management, governance, or related roles in pharma/biotech/life sciences.
• Experience defining and operationalizing data governance frameworks in regulated environments (GxP).
• Strong knowledge of R&D data domains and data standards (e.g., CDISC).
• Proven ability to collaborate with data science and AI teams and modern data stack tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, champion, and implement the R&D data strategy aligning with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
• Design and operate a fit-for-purpose data governance framework with policies, standards, and stewardship.
• Lead data quality initiatives and establish KPIs to ensure data integrity for AI readiness.
• Collaborate with Ethics, Privacy, IT, and R&D functions to deliver data strategy.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to enable trusted data for advanced analytics and Gen AI solutions.
