Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Director of Data Enablement and Reporting to define and lead data strategy across R&D, ensuring data is AI-ready and governed.

You will partner with AI, data science, engineering, and business teams to unlock value from R&D data while meeting compliance needs. You will guide the implementation of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and Gen AI-enabled reporting, delivering scalable analytics and governance workflows for stakeholders

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, CS, or related).
• 8–10 years in data management, governance, or related roles in pharma, biotech, or life sciences.
• Proven track record in defining and implementing data governance and regulated reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the R&D data strategy roadmaps and governance framework.
• Partner with Data Science and AI teams to build scalable data models, lakes, and self-service analytics.
• Lead data quality, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives for AI readiness.
• Communicate data governance priorities and value to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead analytics and reporting for R&D operations and clinical data management.
