Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Solution Architect – Core Technology to lead architectural strategy across cloud, collaboration, and end-user computing in a global GxP environment.

You will define reference architectures, collaborate with Security, and drive faster, secure delivery of enterprise solutions while enabling AI and digital workplace initiatives globally.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of IT infrastructure and workplace technologies experience.
• Proven experience in solution or enterprise architecture leadership roles.
• Experience in GxP-regulated environments such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive end-to-end solution architecture across Core Technology domains.
• Partner with Information Security to co-architect cybersecurity platforms and controls.
• Establish governance, standards, and reference architectures across enterprise.
• Drive lifecycle management and modernization of Core Technology platforms.
