Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Senior Director, Solution Architect – Core Technology to define and drive an integrated architecture strategy across cloud, collaboration, and end‑user computing in a GxP‑regulated biopharma environment.

You will establish the Core Technology architecture function, partner with Security, Data, and Application teams, and shape a unified AI and digital workplace strategy across Microsoft 365, Azure, and related platforms.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and workplace technologies.
• Proven experience in solution architecture or enterprise architecture leadership roles.
• Experience in GxP‑regulated environments such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead through influence in a federated organization and communicate with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive end‑to‑end solution architecture across Core Technology domains, including cloud, networks, and end‑user computing.
• Partner with Information Security to co‑architect cybersecurity platforms and ensure secure, compliant solutions.
• Lead enterprise AI capabilities and align architecture with governance and regulatory expectations.
• Establish architecture governance processes and reference architectures across technology domains.
