Vertex is seeking a Senior Director, Solution Architect - Core Technology to define and drive an integrated architecture strategy across infrastructure and collaboration platforms in a global, GxP-regulated biopharma environment.

This leader will establish the foundational architecture function within Core Technology and partner with domain leaders across cloud, collaboration, end-user computing, and security to ensure cohesive, scalable, and compliant technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership in IT infrastructure or enterprise architecture in a regulated environment.
• Experience defining and driving architecture across cloud, collaboration, and end-user computing domains.
• Strong governance, standards, and lifecycle management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive end-to-end solution architecture across Core Technology domains.
• Partner with Information Security to co-architect cybersecurity platforms and controls.
• Create reference architectures, design standards, and integration patterns.
• Drive interoperability across Core Technology services and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead architecture reviews and guide federated teams toward unified strategy.
