Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Senior Director of Commercialization Technology Architecture to drive target-state architecture, integration patterns, and platform standards for scalable AI solutions across commercial and medical ecosystems.

The role partners with Product, Data, and Engineering to translate strategy into production-ready designs, ensure enterprise alignment, and guide major platform decisions with a focus on security, compliance, and long-term scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or solution architecture roles.
• Experience in pharma, biotech, or regulated healthcare environments strongly preferred.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale platform and integration architecture.
• Experience working across Commercial, Medical, or patient services systems.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture and governance for scalable AI-enabled systems.
• Own integration patterns across Salesforce, Veeva, data platforms.
• Define real-time and batch data architectures and APIs.
• Partner with Data teams for data readiness, lineage, and interoperability.
• Maintain architecture documentation for scalability, reuse, audibility.
• Lead architecture decisions for build vs. buy vs. partner solutions.
• Provide hands-on guidance to ensure production-ready solutions.
