Job summary

Solid Biosciences seeks an Associate General Counsel, Commercial to counsel on a broad range of commercial, medical affairs, market access, patient advocacy, and pre-commercial activities. The role drives risk-based legal advice across the product lifecycle and prepares the company for a commercial-stage trajectory.

The position reports to the General Counsel and is hybrid from Hood Park Headquarters in Charlestown, MA, with remote amenability.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10-15+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Significant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, gene therapy, or life sciences.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and healthcare compliance laws.
• Experience advising commercial, market access, medical affairs, and compliance teams.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, communication, and counseling skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
• Experience supporting product launches.
• Familiarity with global commercialization and ex-U.S. markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and management of complex commercial agreements including distributor, market access, data licensing, speaker bureau, advisory board, and manufacturing agreements.
• Advise commercial leadership in product launch planning and promotional strategy.
• Provide legal guidance on interactions with healthcare professionals, institutions, patient advocacy groups, and payers.
• Develop and maintain an effective healthcare compliance framework and ML R review processes.
• Advise on U.S. and international privacy laws impacting patient data and commercial activities.
• Review digital health, patient engagement, AI, and data analytics projects.
