Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Director, Clinical Development to lead scientific and medical strategy across CNS programs, guiding study design, execution, and regulatory interactions.

You will partner with investigators, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional teams to advance therapies from development through lifecycle management, addressing unmet patient needs. This role requires MD or MD-PhD, 5+ years of industry experience, and ability to travel; hybrid

Qualifications

• MD/MD-PhD or equivalent medical degree required; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Neurology
• Minimum 5+ years' applicable industry across several phases of development is desired
• CNS clinical research experience is required, including demonstrable experience in successfully creating and implementing development plans and clinical studies
• Established relationships with thought leaders and investigators in neurodegenerative and/or psychiatric disorders
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a geographically diverse team structure
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require

Responsibilities

• Create and execute global clinical development plans aligned with the Company's strategic vision
• Oversee planning, implementation and interpretation of clinical studies, including synopsis/protocol development and final reports
• Maintain relationships with investigators and thought leaders across the scientific community
• Interact with sites to support study awareness, patient recruitment, and study conduct quality
• Communicate program issues and results to internal and external stakeholders
• Support regulatory interactions, including submissions and presentations
• Guide compounds from discovery to full development and lifecycle management
• Review business development opportunities and translate to cost-effective development strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Good Clinical Practices
