Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director of Clinical Development to lead strategies from early development through pivotal milestones in neuropsychiatric disorders and rare diseases. In this influential leadership role, you will shape and execute global development plans and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality clinical programs that advance patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required; Board Certified/Eligible strongly preferred.
• Targeting 3 years of relevant medical/clinical practice within pharma.
• Experience with medical monitoring and development plans.
• Experience across several development phases with leadership in cross-functional teams.
• Established relationships with thought leaders and investigators in depression and mood disorders.
• Experience in rare disease or neurology strongly preferred.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute global clinical development plans.
• Oversee studies from synopsis/protocol to final reports.
• Maintain relationships with investigators and centers of excellence.
• Interact with sites to support recruitment and study conduct.
• Communicate program issues to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory interactions and document submissions.
• Guide compounds from discovery to development and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate business development opportunities and translate needs into strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Acadia policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
