Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Development to lead global clinical development strategies for neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders. You will provide scientific and medical leadership across programs, guiding study execution and regulatory interactions.

You will partner with investigators, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional teams to advance CNS therapies from development through lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• MD, MD-PhD or equivalent medical degree; Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry or Neurology.
• Minimum 5+ years’ industry across several development phases.
• CNS clinical research experience and development planning.
• Established relationships with thought leaders and investigators in CNS/psychiatry.
• Ability to work in a geographically diverse team within a growing US organization.
• Excellent oral and written communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Create and drive global clinical development plans aligned with strategy.
• Oversee planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of studies.
• Maintain relationships with investigators and centers of excellence.
• Interact with sites to support recruitment and study conduct.
• Communicate program issues and results to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory interactions and submissions.
• Guide compounds from discovery to lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into cost-effective development strategies.
