Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Senior Director, Operations to lead a highly automated, large-scale Direct-to-Consumer Fulfillment Center in a fast-paced environment. You will drive end-to-end performance across receiving, inventory, fulfillment, packing, sortation, and shipping.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale fulfillment or distribution operations.
• Strong understanding of Direct-to-Consumer fulfillment and end-to-end operational flow.
• Experience operating in highly automated environments utilizing warehouse management, execution, robotics, sortation, conveyor, and Goods-to-Person technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end fulfillment operations across all shifts, ensuring strong execution and customer service.
• Develop and lead a high-performing organization through Directors, Managers, and frontline leaders.
• Drive performance against productivity, throughput, service, quality, inventory, safety, and financial objectives.
• Optimize operational flow by balancing workload, labor, automation, equipment, and capacity.
• Lead operations within a highly automated environment utilizing Goods-to-Person systems and related tech.
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Systems, Technology, Planning, and external providers to improve performance.
• Utilize data, Lean principles, Six Sigma, and problem-solving to eliminate waste and improve reliability.
• Lead workforce and contingency planning to support changing demands and peak periods.
• Establish effective communication routines to align shifts and functions.
• Build partnerships across Operations, Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition, Asset Protection, Engineering, Maintenance, Transportation, Technology, Merchandising, and Supply Chain.
• Communicate performance, risks, and strategic priorities to leadership.
• Promote safety, inclusion, respect, and development while building future leaders.
