Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes unit in Raynham, MA seeks a Senior Director, Assistant & U.S. Controller to lead U.S. accounting, governance, and statutory reporting during a planned separation.

The role partners with enterprise finance, business leaders, and external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance. This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a future standalone orthopedics company and influence enterprise-wide accounting strategies

Qualifications

• 12–14+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with senior leadership
• Extensive experience with U.S. GAAP accounting, close, and statutory reporting
• Proven experience leading large teams and partnering with external auditors

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for U.S. accounting operations, including GL, close, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
• Serve as Assistant Controller, supporting enterprise controllership strategy and governance.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, internal control frameworks, and J&J/DePuy Synthes policies.
• Lead external audit coordination from planning to reporting.
• Oversee accounting for complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, and separations.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Commercial Finance for integrated outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of close processes.
• Mentor Directors and senior finance professionals, building talent pipelines.
