Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director of Security Engineering to lead Slack Security and partner with Salesforce to secure an AI work OS for autonomous agents. You will drive end-to-end security strategy, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration across the Slack/Salesforce ecosystem in a distributed, fast-paced environment.

The role requires 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, leadership of enterprise security programs, and deep expertise in crisis management and security

Qualifications

• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience across multiple domains (infrastructure, application, incident response, identity, threat intelligence)
• Proven track record building and scaling enterprise security programs
• Experience leading through organizational change with global teams
• Crisis management and incident response leadership
• Ability to move between board-level strategy and hands-on architecture reviews
• Excellent cross-functional leadership without direct authority
• Related technical degree required

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the Slack Security program across Platform Defense, Product Security, Infrastructure Protection, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and Security Incident Response
• Lead and scale a globally distributed security engineering organization
• Serve as Incident Commander for critical security incidents and guide executive leadership through recovery
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to champion Slack Security
• Benchmark Slack's security posture against peers and establish a world-class program
• Cultivate a security-minded culture across the broader engineering org
