Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a transformative Senior Director of Security Engineering to evolve Slack's security posture in the AI era. You will lead a globally distributed team, own platform defense, incident response, product security, IAM, and AI/agent security across Slack and Salesforce.

You’ll partner with executive leadership to move security from gatekeeping to security-as-code, build AI-powered defenses, and establish Slack Security as a world-class program.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of cybersecurity across multiple domains (infra, app, IR, identity, threat intel).
• 8+ years in senior leadership roles managing managers and coaching senior leaders.
• Proven track record building and scaling enterprise security programs at SaaS scale.
• Experience leading through organizational change with globally distributed teams.
• Crisis management and incident response leadership across product and enterprise environments.
• Technical depth paired with strategic versatility for board-level security discussions.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the end-to-end Slack Security program across Platform Defense, Product Security, IAM, and Incident Response.
• Lead and scale a globally distributed security engineering organization, hiring and developing top talent.
• Serve as Incident Commander for critical security incidents with executive-level guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to champion Slack Security.
• Benchmark Slack's security posture against peers and elevate it to a reference standard.
• Foster a security-centric culture across the broader engineering organization.
