Job summary

Salesforce’s Slack security organization seeks a Senior Director of Security Engineering to shape the agentic era of security for Slack and its AI work OS.

You will lead a globally distributed team across platform defense, product security, IAM, and incident response, building defenses against AI-driven threats while partnering with Salesforce to keep Slack trusted by humans and autonomous agents.

Qualifications

• 15+ years cybersecurity experience across multiple security domains.
• 8+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience scaling enterprise security programs.
• Crisis management and incident response leadership.
• Experience uniting globally distributed teams into a cohesive security culture.
• Technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute end-to-end Slack Security program across Platform Defense, Product Security, Infrastructure Protection, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and Security Incident Response.
• Lead and scale a globally distributed security engineering organization, hiring and developing top talent.
• Serve as Incident Commander for critical security incidents with executive-level counsel.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to champion Slack Security.
• Benchmark Slack's security posture against industry peers and establish it as a reference.
• Cultivate a security culture across the broader engineering org with training and tooling.
