Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director, Technical Program Management to lead AI/ML platforms at the heart of our real-time information strategy. You will drive end-to-end program delivery across research, engineering, and business partners, ensuring scalable and reliable systems that power multiple credit, retail, and financial services lines.

You will partner with researchers and executives to translate strategy into executable roadmaps, establish governance, and mentor TPM leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 9+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience with distributed systems & cloud (AWS).
• Experience with AI/ML development lifecycle in business-critical settings.
• Experience leading TPM teams or cross-organizational impact.
• Experience in highly regulated environments.
• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
• Industry impact through conferences, papers, blog posts or patents.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end strategic roadmap for enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• Own executive communications on delivery status, risks, and architecture decisions.
• Establish and scale TPM best practices, governance, and OKR-based models.
• Influence investment priorities to balance agility, resilience, and cost.
• Mentor and develop TPM leaders to foster high-performance delivery.
