Job summary

Lightspeed Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Agentic Engineering to build and lead the platform, capabilities, and operating model enabling Lightspeed’s Product & Technology teams to work with AI agents across the product lifecycle.

Reporting to the SVP, Engineering, this role shapes a multi-year platform vision, integrates governance and security, and drives adoption across a global organization. 15+ years of experience and a CS-related degree are required.

Qualifications

• Leading leaders and senior technical talent in a software organization.
• Defining and scaling internal platforms or infrastructure products.
• Building or deploying AI-enabled and agentic systems with orchestration and evaluation.
• Partnering with senior stakeholders across product, engineering, data, security, legal, and business functions.
• Leading organizational change across distributed teams and enabling adoption at scale.
• Establishing high standards for architecture, security, cost management, and reliability.
• Communicating complex concepts to executives and cross-functional teams.
• 15+ years of experience and a CS-related degree.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for agentic engineering.
• Build and lead teams for shared platform capabilities and governance.
• Create an extensible platform enabling cross-team adoption without rebuilding core capabilities.
• Partner on high-value product use cases and scale patterns across Lightspeed.
• Establish evaluation systems for agent performance, quality, security, and cost.
• Embed responsible AI, data protection, and risk management by design.
• Define operating model, enablement, and mechanisms for sharing learning.
• Drive adoption and change across a global organization with measurable impact.
• Own platform outcomes like adoption, velocity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Hire, coach, and develop leadership and a high-performing organization.
