Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking a seasoned leader to head the Americas Application Engineering team for our 3DIC and advanced packaging portfolio.

You will guide a senior team in engaging customers, translating field feedback into actionable R&D inputs, and driving strategic campaigns that lead to design wins and growth. You will collaborate with sales, product, and R&D, manage escalations, and travel across the region to strengthen executive-level customer relationships and ensure successful

Qualifications

• 10+ years in application engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing roles in EDA/semiconductor
• At least 5 years of senior team leadership experience
• Proven track record coordinating geographically distributed teams
• Experience driving new business, competitive displacement, and campaigns with measurable revenue impact
• Strong knowledge of 3DIC technologies, advanced packaging, and semiconductor design ecosystem
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
• Ability to translate field insights into R&D/product actions

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Americas AE team supporting Synopsys' 3DIC and advanced packaging solutions across a growing customer base
• Set the technical strategy for how the AE organization engages customers on complex 3DIC challenges from evaluation to deployment
• Drive customer discovery and technical campaigns that result in design wins and revenue growth
• Build and manage a team of senior application engineers who operate independently with customers
• Partner with sales, product, and R&D to align customer needs with product roadmaps
• Own escalations and roadblocks, engaging with customers at executive levels when needed
• Travel regularly across the region to build relationships with key customers and represent Synopsys at technical discussions
• Maintain strong cross-functional alignment between field teams and corporate organizations to stay aligned with customer needs
