Qualifications

Extensive SSD firmware development experience for enterprise or hyperscale systems.
Solid knowledge of NVMe and OCP SSD specifications.
Strong background in embedded firmware development and hardware/software interaction.
Proficiency in C/C++, with Python scripting for testing and automation.
Hands-on experience with storage controller SoCs, PCIe, DMA, NAND interfaces.
Experience designing firmware architectures and debugging complex firmware/hardware issues.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the firmware architecture for next-generation DirectFlash SSD modules.
Work with controller vendors to bring up new SSD controller SoCs and enable features.
Develop firmware components supporting NVMe and OCP specs for performance.
Debug cross-layer issues among firmware, hardware, NAND media, and host systems.
Improve SSD data path performance and latency through firmware design and analysis.
Review designs, mentor engineers, and improve development tools and automation.
Work from the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with policy unless on PTO/travel.
