Job summary

The Ridge at Westlake Village is seeking a Front of House Supervisor to lead dining room operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional resident experiences. Responsibilities include managing meal service, POS operations, and adherence to service standards.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1 year in restaurants, and supervisory experience. Health and background screenings are required, with opportunities for career growth within Oakmont Management Group.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in food service/management preferred.
• 1 year of restaurant or similar experience preferred.
• 1 year of supervising/managing employees preferred.
• Able to operate standard household equipment and a PC; proficient in MS Office.
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care preferred.
• Able to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
• Flexible, adaptable, capable of prioritizing tasks under pressure.
• Able to obtain/maintain first aid and food handler certifications.
• Must pass background check and health screening; comply with COVID/PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise service to ensure resident enjoyment and consistent dining experience.
• Assist residents and servers in meal service (salads, soups, entrees, beverages, desserts).
• Ensure dining room POS system operates efficiently; troubleshoot and train staff.
• Ensure proper serving techniques and etiquette; manage cleanup and side work.
• Assign dining room sections and maintain clean, sanitary work environment.
• Coordinate setup of tables, stations, and beverage/service stations.
• Support resident orientation and transitions during meals to ease anxiety.
• Assist with planning menu items for activities, events, and marketing.
