Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long‑term care facility. You will ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service while managing staff and operations.

The role requires adherence to menus and regulations, with responsibility for inventory, training, and daily records. Join a dedicated team and shape resident dining experiences through strong leadership and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of quantity food production/service and supervision experience.
• CDM certification preferred; or as required by state/county law.
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days of employment; FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment with HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; fill in as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Use protective gear and report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain sanitation.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
