Yona Eagle is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. The role focuses on planning, directing, and supervising menu development, staffing, and compliance with regulations while maintaining quality patient services.

The position emphasizes cost control, staff training, and ensuring resident satisfaction through strong leadership and collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Food service supervisory experience required; long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers.
• CDM/CFPP certification from ANFP.
• Strong staff motivation and supervision skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and equipment operation.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises dietary department functions.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Plans staffing to ensure adequate services and maintains staffing levels.
• Maintains required records (inventory, compliance, income/expense, personnel).
• Conducts management meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget.
• Maintains survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and department improvements.
