Job summary

Citi in New York seeks a Digital Software Engineer Senior Manager to lead a professional team delivering secure, scalable software across platforms. You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD improvements, collaborate with stakeholders, manage resources and budget, and ensure quality while aligning with Citi's leadership principles.

You will foster talent, partner with cross-functional teams, and uphold Citi's standards for risk, compliance, and customer focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or senior level experience in Enterprise Architecture.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, PCF, Akamai) and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design, and performance optimization.
• Experience automating code quality, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to lead teams, mentor and develop talent across functions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network of talent inside and outside Citi.
• Onboard and mentor new hires and engineers.
• Provide coaching and feedback to reports to support career development.
• Manage performance, resource planning, and goal setting to achieve department objectives.
• Design, implement, and deploy software components; ensure security and maintainability.
• Understand development approaches and select appropriate methodologies.
• Deliver high-quality, testable software with strong reliability and performance.
• Lead code reviews and drive improvement in coding standards.
• Improve development and testing processes to increase efficiency.
• Educate teammates about customers, software, and Citi's broader context and strategy.
