Job summary

Citi is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own application design and scalable development for a global financial institution. You will lead mid-to-large projects, shaping architecture and product quality while advancing Citi’s AI and digital capabilities.

In this role you will design end-to-end solutions, influence engineering decisions, and drive integration of Generative AI across teams, with a hybrid in-office/remote model and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Five+ years building high-performance distributed systems in production.
• Experience delivering scalable backend services and APIs.
• Hands-on with React JS or Streamlit for UI components.
• Strong knowledge of Spring or Flask frameworks.
• Experience with relational and document databases.
• Design and implement REST or WebSocket APIs at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end software solutions that are robust and scalable.
• Lead engineering decisions on large-scale distributed systems.
• Develop AI components to accelerate Citi's platform maturity.
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of Generative AI solutions.
