Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Member of Technical Staff to advance DSP and GNSS technologies within DCID/MPD, focusing on GPS/GNSS receivers, SDRs, and FPGA-based implementations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in digital signal processing and digital communications.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, C/C++, Python, and VHDL.
• Experience with DSP algorithms in hardware using FPGAs.
• Experience testing, fielding, or developing GNSS systems.
• Understanding GNSS architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop signal processing algorithms for GPS/GNSS receivers and SDRs on FPGA hardware or software.
• Analyze signal processing performance using MATLAB, Python or similar tools.
• Prototype real‑time systems for emulation and proof of concept.
• Conduct research on advanced signal processing, GNSS, and alternative PNT concepts.
• Document work in briefings and technical reports for customers and colleagues.
