You will lead staff, liaise with pathologists, IT and vendors, monitor equipment, and drive process improvements while maintaining compliant records and efficient turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in pathology, histology, or digital pathology.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prior leadership, lead, or project coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates daily operations of the digital pathology program and imaging workflow.
• Oversees scheduling and prioritization of scanning requests to ensure optimal turnaround times.
• Serves as the primary resource for all digital pathology operations, providing guidance and support to staff involved in scanning workflows.
• Monitors scanner functionality and equipment performance, coordinating preventive maintenance and service with vendors.
• Troubleshoots scanner operations and workflow issues, escalating as needed.
• Develops and improves standard workflows, procedures, and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinates activities with pathologists, residents, researchers, laboratory staff, and outside facilities to support digital pathology services.
• Maintains image management systems, digital storage, and archival processes with integrity and compliance.
• Maintains tracking systems, spreadsheets, schedules, and documentation related to operations and maintenance.
• Coordinates implementation of new digital pathology projects, upgrades, validations, and expansions.
• Acts as liaison between leadership, IT, vendors, and service providers regarding maintenance, software updates, and operational concerns.
• Assists in onboarding and training staff on workflows, scanning procedures, and image management systems.
• Supports continuous improvement to enhance digital pathology services across the department.
