The Lead Digital Pathology Coordinator provides advanced operational, technical, and administrative support for the Digital Pathology program within the Anatomic Pathology Department. This role oversees daily digital pathology workflow operations, coordinates scanning activities, monitors equipment performance and maintenance, and serves as the primary resource for troubleshooting and workflow optimization. The Lead Digital Pathology Coordinator is responsible for ensuring high-quality digital slide imaging for daily slide viewing, consultation, teaching/research, tumor board, clinical conferences, and archival imaging. This position will function as a lead resource for staff, vendors, and other outside facilities as needed.
Decision Making Ability to independently make operational decisions related to digital pathology workflows, scheduling, equipment prioritization, and problem resolution. Provides recommendations for process improvement and operational efficiency. Problem Solving Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills for scanner(s) operations, workflow interruptions, image quality concerns, and other technical issues. Independence of Action Works independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing departmental needs and coordinating multiple ongoing demands. Written Communications Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers. Oral Communications Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers Knowledge Demonstrates advanced knowledge of digital pathology concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations. Pay Range: $24.26 – $32.64
